Is that hag at the job centre giving you grief, trying to force you onto pointless courses or into cleaning up puke in some ship’s smegma-ridden cabins? Not keen on heading off to a margarine factory, but still need to do something? Come down here, underground, into the heart of darkness, where the sun doesn’t shine. It’s a good place to be. If you’re eligible for a WORK TRIAL and haven’t found the right career path yet, Horror-Shop isn’t a bad place for that sort of thing.
THE SHOP: Fairly easygoing work, great people as customers and good music to keep you entertained every day. In the eye of the storm of underground culture, you’ll meet interesting people and get to dive into a world that normies only whisper about.
No one has ever been forced to come here. We don’t advertise these placements through the job centre, because in a business this small we don’t want nose-pickers who are pissed off with everything. If, for whatever reason, you could use a change in your life and you’re a good sort, you could do a lot worse. In fact, just about everyone who’s spent time here has described it as the best stretch of their working life or time out of work. We’ve been through some serious battles, but we’ve kept moving forward. Maybe we’ll soon reach the point where we can post an actual job vacancy, because my dream is to hire a permanent colleague to work alongside me as soon as possible.
